We, the students, staff and community at Figtree Heights Public School, acknowledge the Dharawal Nation as the traitional custodians of this land.

We extend that respect to other Aboriginal Australians present here today, for they hold the memories and traditions of Aboriginal Australia. 

Our school lies at the foothills of the Illawarra Escarpment, sheltered by Mount Keira and Mount Kembla.

We must remember that this land is, was and always will be, traditional Aboriginal land.

Together we are respectful of the lands

Together we can care for each other.

Together we will be reesponsible as one.
